Denver Health is proud to celebrate the naming of our Chief Financial Officer Peg Burnette, CPA, as one of the Colorado Women's Chamber of Commerce 25 Most Powerful Women in Business. The award, now in its seventh year, recognizes women who operate at the highest level of business performance and community leadership.
Burnette started at Denver Health in 1996 and has served as Chief Financial Officer for the past 14 years. She has worked in health care finance for nearly 30 years. Under her financial leadership, Denver Health has grown its total assets from $153 million to $1.1 billion, while providing more than $6 billion in care to the uninsured. Importantly, the organization's financial performance has enabled Denver Health to increase the number of patients it serves from 117,000 to 229,000.
